Wow!Time flies, huh! This is my favourite phrase … my hubby would know… almost each card that i make for him contains this phrase in the opening sentence! Anyway, this blog was actually written a month ago when i came back from my wedding anniversary celebration but the internet line was slow (as usual) even with streamyx and being the clumsy & blur me, i accidentally clicked on a button and whooosh the blog disappeared! So it’s back to square one now. No wonder a few of my friends resorted to using other blog sites..

Back to my story of the day, my hubby and i went to KL Hilton for a 1 night stay.. cost a bomb but government servants have a small discount. There’s even a mini TV in the bathroom!

Hmm… tried to insert pics but either internet connection is too slow or… ?? well, i’ll try and upload the pics later.

well, that’s all for now.. i’m writing this during my lunch break. Have to grab something to eat. Ciao!

Ah Lap, my ever romantic and loving hubby of almost 1 year (time flies..have i been married that long ?!!)surprised me with a huge and gorgeous bouquet of roses on my birthday!the 1st thing that came to my mind was " Wow!! how much did this cost?" well, for those who truly know me, they’ll attest to the fact that i can be pretty stingy even with my other half’s money. Anyway, the 2nd thought that came to my mind was " wah! my hubby so romantic it’s been a long time since he last gave me roses and to be sent 100 stalks of dark, blood red roses was pretty romantic of him…only dreamt that this could happen in the newspaper or to those TV characters. thus, being me, i took plenty of photos before the flowers could fade and die…i also proudly showed the photo to my colleagues at work as it’s not everday that one gets so many flowers.. oh yeah! it’s pretty heavy…about 3kg!

oops, sorry. i’m new at uploading pics onto my blog so i do not know how to rotate this pic. never mind, it’ll be faster for u to turn your head sideways than for me to figure that out ! this is a pic of me in the Gold Class GSC MV. the  ?leather seats were very comfy and almost fell asleep towards the end of Pirates! the aircond was freezing. luckily we knew this before hand and had come well-equipped. Again, for those who know me well, i may as well be suffering form hypothyroidism as i simply cannot stand the cold. Thus, i brought a thick sweater (the kind u go to cold countries with) and was nice and warm..which explains why i almost fell asleep aside from the fact that i was post-call and had not slept at all the night before and we were catching the 11pm opening night show! i also went for a pedicure at A Cut Above and happily painted my nails bright red! well, if i can’t change my hairstyle or dye or perm my hair (no guts to try and too stingy also!),  i might as well do something to my feet which hardly gets any attention from anyone. Can’t paint my nails though in my line of work as it’s a bit inappropriate. well, that’s enough blogging for now. my next entry will be about my 1st year anniversary God bless!!

i have another new electronic gadget!! well, not mine alone actually but shared with my 2 other hsemates my hsemate had bought this box-like thing called ?router which enables us to share with my other hsemate her streamyx broadband access. so now i have internet access in my quarters! hurray!! well you all must be thinking this gal sure is backward in terms of being tech-savvy. yup! well, i hope with this ‘new’ gadget of mine i can stay in touch more frequently with my family and friends adios!

ha ha!! i was recently given a new electronic toy by my other half… a handphone that has several functions that is now considered basic ie camera and blue tooth my old handphone was bought in 2003 which was the first generation of polyphonic sound and coloured screen.. now my new hp has something called microsd memory card and i’d to but some plastic looking gadget (card reader it’s called!) to enable me to read the electronic data in that very tiny piece of chip… technology these days is simply amazing and mind boggling! however, the new handphones these days are not cut out to last long as they look pretty flimsy and fragile as compared to my old bulky handphone which in chinese can be thrown at a dog and cause it to die :p. The old handphone has served me well… survived the raging waters of the drain and ahem…somewhere else and also fell from great heights without so much as chip or cracked screen…Of course with my new handphone i can keep and display nice photos of my hubby on it. since i can’t see him face-to-face daily thus seeing him on my handphone wallpaper or screen saver is better than nothing. well, enough rambling for now. my hubby suffered another back sprain yesterday. the 1st episode was almost a year ago. in my line of work, back pain is nothing uncommon but when he had it last year all thoughts of horrible diseases and outcome jumped into my mind. when he saw the OPD Dr today he was dismissed impolitely. now i know how to handle patients with back pain.

luckily the 1st time round, he was still working in kl and my parents brought him to see the dr but this time he was alone at home in malacca. my heart dropped when he called and told me his problem. his pain threshold is very high so when he complains of pain, it’s really painful. to him, an insertion of an intravenous large bore branula is not painful but to me i’ll be screaming silently in pain. (now how i wish it was him who would bear our children ! :p) anyway, thank God i’d a friend working in Malacca GH who nicely and obligingly gave him a hsecall to adminster an intramuscular injection for pain relief. Thank God too the pain today is much reduced. I guess we often take for granted the simple functions in life such as walking or bending. He was bedridden for half a day yesterday. it’s during times like this that i wish i was by his side taking care of him. i felt so helpless not being able to be by his side.  i wanted to throw in my transfer letter immediately…It is really hard to be apart and we really appreciate each other’s company when we’re together. I’m just praying that God will continue to heal him and take care of him and guide us in our decisions ie. when to put in transfer letter, where should i apply to—> KL or Malacca, where and when to buy our hse etc?? …… Ciao…..                     

chinese new year seemed to whizz past in a blink of an eye this year i didn’t even get into the mood of it until i reached kl as i spent most of my waking hours in the hospital grounds (staying at hosp quarters) and was too lazy to drive to town most of the time…was even lazier to do CNY shopping in Fajar (which by the way is THE most HAPPENING place here) So my ears were spared the incessant blaring of CNY songs-which i didn’t miss at all. i went back home 2 days b4 new year and did really last minute shopping on the eve itself with my hubby and bro-in-law. CNY was spent travelling like nomads to my hubby’s and my hse and most of the time spent with family and friends. it was great just to laze around at home and enjoy my family’s company. Ate out alot too as everyone (except mum-in-law) was too lazy too cook or rather too much hassle involved. played mahjong with my new family and managed to win RM 1.50 beginner’s luck probably. it was so nice to share the same bed with hubby for 10days as usually we are geographically apart due to our working circumstances. all in all it was a good break 4 hubby and i.

14th feb 2007…to those who have a special someone, this is a day to celebrate and be showered with gifts/cards/thoughtful gestures…it is indeed a sweet experience esp if your other half is the romantic type. Nevertheless, some sceptics say Valentine’s Day is everyday which is also true but for me it’s a day to receive that extra special attention or be more lovey-dovey than usual.It’s also an oppurtunity to demand for a certain thing we’ve been eying for some time :p Pity the guys though as it’s another day that they’ve to spend thinking of what to do,where to go, what to buy for their other half and fights may break out if he does not do what is ‘expected of him’ ! Today i’m spending V Day in hospital..on call actually…but it’s easy to remember what date to write in the patient’s tickets For those who are still single, it is a day to appreciate your family members and friends who are always there 4 u thru thick and thin…people who don’t care how bad u’ve been or what u didn’t do of did wrongly as they’ll still love us the way we are. Happy Valentine’s Day and Happy Piggy Year 2007 to all who celebrate CNY. May it be a healthy and peaceful and good weathered year

married life has not been that much different for me mainly coz we’re staying apart…me in TI and him in malacca. but it has made our time together more appreciated and valuable. i don’t know how long more we’re going to be like this as it will take time for me to get transferred nearer back home and i’ve gotten very used and am comfortable with the life here in this small tiny town between ipoh and bidor. Let’s just wait and see….

this is my 2nd blog…i’ve managed to keep in contact with people i’ve lost contact with using Friendster. i never accepted my friend’s invitation to join previously as i had the misconception that it would spread a nasty bug to my pc…well i guess i was wrong.in such a short time i’ve logged into friendster more than 5 times.well… till my next blog, ciao ! this is my 1st time blogging….is there such a word as ‘ blogging’?? anyway this is a whole new experience for me…anyway…to tell you the truth i had never opened friendster until 25th jan 2007 as i heard from friends that it’s a good way to look for long-lost friends.and it’s true!! when i opened it i actually found out that i had been a member since oct 2004! yes, literally a sleeping member all this while. well cheers! here’s to many more blogs ahead
